PicoDocs ("we," "our," or "us") operates the PicoDocs mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a safe, transparent, and private user experience.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use PicoDocs. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Local-Only Processing (No Personal Data Collection)
PicoDocs is designed to be a 100% local and private tool.
- No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, register, or provide any personal details (such as email, name, or phone number) to use the App.
- On-Device Files: All operations—including making passport photos, converting images to PDF, compressing PDFs, and scanning documents—are performed locally on your mobile device.
- No Cloud Uploads: Your photos, files, and generated documents are stored in your device's secure local filesystem. We do not host servers, and we never upload, transmit, or share your documents or photos with any external network or database.
2. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
PicoDocs is a free, ad-supported App. To serve advertisements, we integrate the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK.
Data Collected by AdMob
To display appropriate ads, Google AdMob may automatically collect and use certain device information, including:
- IP address (used to estimate general location/country)
- Advertising ID (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA)
- Mobile device identifier or device model
- App usage data and performance diagnostics (to track ad impressions and clicks)
This data is collected directly by Google and is used to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements, limit ad frequency, and combat fraud.

3. Data Retention and Deletion
All documents and files created in PicoDocs are saved inside your device's local storage.
- User Control: You can view, share, or delete any generated asset at any time via the "Files" section in the App.
- Clearing App Data: Uninstalling PicoDocs or clearing the App's storage via your device settings will permanently delete all locally saved documents and settings. We do not keep backups.
4. Children's Privacy
Our services do not target and are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information to Google AdMob through the App, please contact us or review Google’s policy options for children's accounts.
5. Compliance and Regulations (GDPR & CCPA)
- GDPR (European Economic Area): Since all documents are processed locally, we do not act as a data controller or data processor for your files under GDPR. Where required by law, Google AdMob displays consent dialogs before serving personalized advertisements to users in the EEA.
- CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act): We do not sell or share any of your personal information, as we do not collect it.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any updates.
